DoseDue Privacy Policy

Effective date: 7 October 2026

DoseDue is a medication-management application. It is not a medical provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how DoseDue (“DoseDue”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the DoseDue mobile application and related services.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

  • First name, last name, date of birth, email address, and preferred language.
  • Authentication information and provider identifiers when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password.
  • Account status, creation time, verification status, and security/session metadata.

Medication and health-related information you choose to enter

  • Medication names, form, dose, schedule, treatment dates, condition/instructions, stock and refill information.
  • Dose events such as taken, missed, skipped, snoozed, or undone.
  • Medication history and repeated treatment courses.

Device and technical information

  • Device and operating-system information, app version, language, timezone, and diagnostic/security logs.
  • Notification permissions and notification-related status required to deliver medication reminders.

Camera and OCR

If you choose to scan a medication label or prescription, DoseDue may access the camera and process the image for text recognition. We only use camera access when you initiate a scan.

3. How we use information

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To provide medication schedules, reminders, dose tracking, stock/refill tracking, history, and exports.
  • To provide standard notifications and, where enabled and permitted by Apple, Critical Alerts for unresolved follow-up medication reminders.
  • To verify age eligibility and prevent registration by users under 18.
  • To maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect account security.
  • To manage subscriptions, entitlements, and advertising where applicable.

4. Privacy Policy viewing and consent

Before creating an account, DoseDue requires you to open this Privacy Policy and then actively confirm that you agree to it. DoseDue may record the date and time when the policy was viewed and when consent was given, for compliance and audit purposes.

5. Service providers

DoseDue may use trusted service providers to operate the service. Depending on the feature you use, these may include:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and managed backend services.
  • Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store services, subscriptions, and iOS notification capabilities.
  • Google for Google Sign-In and, where applicable, Google AdMob advertising services.
  • Qonversion for subscription and entitlement management.

These providers process data under their own privacy terms and only as needed to provide the relevant service.

6. Advertising

Free versions of DoseDue may display advertisements. Advertising services may process device or advertising identifiers and limited app interaction information in accordance with applicable platform permissions and the advertising provider’s policies. DoseDue does not use medication details to create advertising content.

7. Notifications and Critical Alerts

DoseDue uses notifications to remind you about scheduled medications and refills. Critical Alerts, when enabled by you and supported by the device, are used only for follow-up medication reminders that remain unresolved. Recording a dose as taken cancels remaining related follow-up alerts where technically possible.

8. Data retention and deletion

If you request deletion of your account, DoseDue may place the account and associated records into a 30-day pending-deletion period before permanent deletion. If the account is restored during that period, deletion may be cancelled. Certain security, fraud-prevention, billing, or legal records may be retained where required by law or legitimate operational necessity.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

  • You can review and update supported profile and medication information in the app.
  • You can control notification permissions in iOS Settings.
  • You can request account deletion through the supported account-deletion flow.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available under applicable law.

11. Children

DoseDue is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow users under 18 to create their own account.

12. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards and rely on provider commitments and applicable legal mechanisms.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as DoseDue changes. The updated policy will show a new effective date. Where required, we will ask you to review and consent to material changes.

14. Contact

For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact DoseDue through the support contact published in the app or on the official DoseDue website.
